Recommended update: We strongly recommend that all users upgrade to this version.
This release adds new Auracast broadcast settings and focuses on security and reliability. It includes all changes since Version 2.5.0.
New Features
- Broadcast language: Set the language of the Auracast broadcast (one language per unit).
- Broadcast ID: Each unit now gets a random Broadcast ID so nearby units don’t clash, with an option to set it manually.
- Public Broadcast: Public Broadcast can now be turned on or off.
- Private broadcast: Optional Private broadcast with a PIN, set in the Bluetooth settings (Open by default).
Improvements
- PHP 8.2.35: Updated to PHP 8.2.35 with the latest security fixes.
- Security: Security updates to the web interface.
- Bluetooth reliability: More reliable Bluetooth control, with better error reporting.
- Factory reset: Factory Reset Bluetooth now restores the default Bluetooth settings and applies them straight away.
- User interface: Updated web interface libraries.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Enable/Disable Firmware Updates button.
- Fixed log viewing and log export.
- Fixed small bugs in the web interface.
- Fixed the Bluetooth Name display and popup close buttons.
- Fixed updates on units with older update software.
